    Spark plug wires

I am going to do the basic tune-up route for my 72 LT1 and I am looking for advice on standard spark plug wires. My car has repro dated wires on it and I want to just install high quality, non-judged wires for every day use. Are there plug wires out there that are better than others?

    Advice is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Gary

Gary I use Moroso Blue Max spiral core pre-terminated custom fit cut to length on my 68, 70, and 85. Very satisfied.

As stated on this forum previously Delco makes a correct lenght wire set #508N I believe. Avaliable from auto stores like Advance Auto in the South.

Allen, thank you for the information. I know that this forum has covered many topics and I was certain that this issue had been covered before. My search of the archives showed no references to small block spark plug wires during the last two years. Maybe I just need to hone my search skills.

        Thanks again,
        Gary

          Silly question #563:

Are you going to drive it enough to make the headache of swapping wires worthwhile? I swapped my repro dated ones for Packard ones on the 71 only because I had everything apart anyway, but I can't say as I noticed any difference. I had about 15,000 miles on the dated reproduction wires, and just wanted to save them for someday when Ryan or I wants to restore the car.

Just a thought. Going through the motor mounts and all can be a hassle.

So does this mean you don't need some tires?
