If you had your choice of any Chevy Performance crate motor which one would you install in a 66 Corvette driver with a 3:55 rear end and a 4 speed.

For the money the 350/330 with the new style cast iron heads and 380 #'s of torque is a good one. The ZZ4 is nice is you have to have the extra HP. The D shaped exhaust ports on the aluminum heads will not be a perfect matchup with your original exhaust manifolds, but still can be used. I have a ZZ1 and use my 70's original exhaust manifolds and the performance is OK with me. The 350/350 fuel injection engine would be nice, but from what I have read the injection unit is to tall for Corvette hoods. The injected one would be my choice if it would fit.- Top
