    71-72 intake manifold bolts

On 71-72 LT-1 intake manifold bolts, I have a question--on a 72 that appears to have never had the intake off, there are two dished-head intake bolts, and they are located on the left front, holding the engine lift bracket to the intake (and to the heads, of course). On a 71 that appears equally original, the two dished-head bolts are holding the shielding brackets to the intake (in other words, they're the farthest rear left and right bolts). Any idea which is correct? Is either acceptable?
If that's dealt with in the judging manual, I apologize--mine is AWOL. (I need to ask my wife where I put it)
    Thanks,
    Mike Ernst

    Mike,
I usually see the dished head (with built in washer) fasteners used on the lift bracket at the left front. Standard hex head cap screws at the ignition shield supports. Could the UAW folks at Flint have put the wrong fasteners in the ignition shielding on a couple of the many small blocks they built? I think we can all figure out the answer to that one.
