    '68 L79 carburetor

While I search for a numbers "correct" quadrajet (last three digits 219), I am considering just buying the best replacement carb to run on the street instead of rebuilding the non-numbers matching quadrajet (last three digits 212) that came on the car when I bought it. Another factor is that I have yet to find a local reputable carb builder, as this is outside of my expertise. I've seen what seems to be a dozen possibilities available on the market, and I am looking for the perfect scenario - leak-free and plug 'n play, and one I can reuse on another small block, non-Corvette in the future. Any recommendations?
