73 rear end

My engine and transmission are not in yet. The rear end is a 67 4.11, and I would like to change the gears. Should I tow it to the shop and do it now, or can I wait till the engine, trans, are in and save the tows?

You can do it either way, but why not just remove the diff yourself and send it out to have it converted?

If it is a true "dated" 67 chunk, take it out of your car and SELL it to a restorer who needs it. The money from the 67 dated/coded chunk will buy you 2 correct dated/coded 73 chunks already rebuilt!
