C1 Convertible top

My '58 rear bow has two 10-32 threaded holes, one on each side where the bow curves forward. The overlaying seal has matching holes. Is it for some type of screw to assist in holding the rear seal in place?

On my '57, those holes were for attachment of the hold-up straps.

Ahhhhh. There was something about that in the NCRS tech guide. At the time, I wondered what the heck they were referring to. My heap must be missing that (another little mystery to solve). I'll re-read the "bible". Thanks all.

On the verticle part of the top frame, just behind the driver and passenger's head near the top and inboard of the window weatherstrip there should be another small hole. The other end of the holdup straps attach to a snap dome fastener thingie at that hole. Just put new weatherstrips and retainers and screws and holdup straps on my '59.
