I was reading a post from last week that discussed the "originality" of CE engines and a reference was made to CT Transmissions.
My Silver Anniversary with an E11 (Jan. 11) build date has an automatic transmission with a blank VIN pad and a date stamp on the housing of 2-78. I know that the transmission is not scored in flight judging and the car did earn a Top Flight in 2000. I did speak with the original owner a few years ago and asked about a transmission replacement, but he did not recall it specifically (he took possesion of the car in late Jan '78.) I have always assumed it failed and was replaced under warranty. Is there any way to confirm or document this as a "CT" transmission?
Greg.
