73 454 big block production

I have a 454 1973 convertible, (needs restoration). I understand there was about 5,000 convertibles and about 5,000 big blocks. Does anyone know how many big block convertibles there were.

At the present time, there is no way of knowing the number of LS-4 convertibles that were made for the 1973 model year. A "guesstimate" would be about 716. That's based on the percentage of convertibles that were produced of total production times the number of LS-4-equipped cars built that year. It's probably pretty close to the actual number but we can't know that, for sure.
