    Engine Suffix

    I have a friend who has a 67 BB and the engine has a IV suffix and casting date of 68 or 69. I am wondering if anyone knows what Chevy that engine was used in. We know it wasn't a Corvette or at least think it wasn't. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

      IV suffix looks like a 1965-1968 396, 325hp, automatic, installed in a passenger car.

          Do you have a 7" or 8" harmonic balancer on the 67 BB? 7" and you have a LP 396 balancer.
