Is this oil pan an original style pan for a 68-69 427, P/N #3958658?

GM #3958658 would be an original style pan if you had a 69-70 Chevrolet passenger car with big block. However, it's not the original style pan if you have a Corvette.

The currently available SERVICE replacement is GM #14091356. It's very similar, if not identical, to the original pan. For 1970 and older applications you'll need to add the corner reinforcements for correct, original appearance. These are available in reproduction and don't need to be spot welded to the pan-----the bolts will hold them on just fine.
