What is the part number for the flat, two-bolt gasket between the exhaust manifold and the pipe flange? Should be the same as the 55-56 passenger car. I have the number for the manifold set, but is seems wasteful to get a four-piece set for just this gasket. I also need the number for the gasket between the carburetor and the intake manifold. Thanks.

The part number for the exhaust gasket was GM #3711569. The part number for the carb to manifold gasket was GM #3739168. Both are long-since GM-discontinued. Dr. Rebuild has excellent reproductions of the carb gasket. I don't know if he has the exhaust gaskets, or not.In Appreciation of John Hinckley -
Strangely...
The '55 Corvette, '55-56 Passenger manifold gasket set is still available as gasket set 3711675, and includes the three manifold to head gaskets and one manifold to pipe gasket. They're only a couple bucks, I got three the last time I had the manifolds off, because two pipe gaskets are needed on the right side. Seems wasteful, though.Comment

It's not so strange. Very often in the GM parts system individual gaskets are the first to go. Gasket SETS which include individual pieces that are discontinued may be available for quite awhile afterwards.In Appreciation of John HinckleyComment
