    C1 Horn

The horns on my 62 work (kind of), more like a moan. If the 2 outboard terminals on the relay are reversed would that cause such a symtom? My 20 ga. tan wire is connected to the terminal nearest the front of the car (opposite from the wiring diagram). The relay appears to be mounted correctly with the terminals pointing inboard.(toward the engine). Any ideas or trouble shooting procedures appreciated.

    Thanks

There is an adjustment knob on each horn, try using the knob to see if you can obtain a clear tone

Make sure you have a good, clean ground at the horn attachment; bad ground, bad horn sound.
