    66' 427/425 Puke

My 66' BB 425 hp runs cool (170-190) under all driving conditions (confirmed by calibrated sender and IR thermometer) but generally pukes after final shut down sometimes a couple dribbles other times a good barf. I've been letting the radiator level drop accordingly thinking it may find an equilibrium point and balance out. Any opimions on how low the level should be in a cold radiator? Tried 2 different "correct" RC-15 rad caps and seems the same. Any suggestions? Thanks. Joe Pearson.

i think that you'll find indications of where the hot/cold levels ought to be by looking for embossed hot /cold on the pass side radiator end tank. if not, go with a cold level about 2 or 3" below the cap's mating surface. mike
