C2 Hood Blackout and Paint

I'm fixing up a few things they found wrong in judging a couple weeks ago.
Judging guide refers to the hinge area and says the structure curves toward the center of the hood aproximately 1/4 in. At this point the blackout does not follow the curve of the structure.
The question is, are they talking about the rear of the hood where the hinge pins are,and they ran masking tape around the outside of the hood to prevent blackout paint from getting on the outer lip. Was the masking tape wide enough to cover the whole outer lip. Or should a portion show some blackout paint.

They are talking about the area down by the hinges. If you follow the inner corner (say where the weatherstrip seats) down you will see an area that slightly curves in, the black out there should follow the above line down.
Just a note the paint line should not be sharp but should be a dusting of the blackout into the color of the car. Also down by the hinges the blackout tapers outward on an angle with the same dusting look.
I have pictures of an original car and will try to post them if I can figure out how to do so. I've never tried this yet, wish me luck.
