Hello all. I have the body off and have disassembled the suspension and have repairable damage to the passenger side frame rail(old accident?). It appears repairable, but i have found a complete, refurbished 1954 frame/suspension and am thinking of putting it under the '57. Differences? Problems? What should i pay for the '54 set up, and what value do my '57 components have? Thanks, G.

Re: '57 frame exchange questions
your v-8 fuel pump will rub the pass side frame rail on a 54 frame. i'd repair the original that also retains the vin # of the vet if its the original frame. i'd guess the 49 to 54 chev passs car frames would act as donors for any 57 vet mid frame repairs needed. mike- Top

Re: '57 frame exchange questions
At least one of the major Corvette parts suppliers (Paragon, CC, Zip, etc.) sells frame pieces for C1s. Cut out the old damage, and weld in their new piece.- Top

I believe Vette Products of Michigan is the source of these parts for all the vendors
