Re: Memories from Puyallup
Being born and raised on Woodward Avenue in the "good old days", I used to spend nearly every Thursday night installing a clutch, 2nd and 3rd gear synchros (3-on-the-tree Saginaw), and a pair of 7.10-15 or 7.60-15 Atlas Bucrons ($18.00/pair at my Standard station, when gas was 21 cents a gallon for premium) in my '56 210 post "power-pack" 2-door, to be ready for the weekend. Love those old shoeboxes with no trans mount - you could get that box out in less than five minutes The "097" Duntov cam was less than $18.00 over the counter in those days too.
