Hi,
I am trying to get the washer pump to work as it should. This car is a very original '67 and has set for many years. Can anyone tell me the correct way to prime the pump to possibly get it to work?
You are probably going to have to remove the four screws that holds the pump head on the bellows and gently pull the little valves loose from the plastic. They dry out and stick which makes the pump useless or operating only partially.
I usually use some kind of silicone on the valves. This seems to help to make them pliable again. After doing this the pump should pick up the water from the bottle and work fine.
