    C2 - Source for shim 3762962

    Members,
I am looking for a supplier for the above referenced shim.

It is the shim that is used at the bottom corners of the Exhaust Filler Panel on the '65. Assume that it is specified for all mid-years.

Is this shim being reproduced or has someone come up with a clever substitute? I think that using ordinary flat washers would be tacky.

    Thanks and regards,
    Gene

    Gene -

That shim was released for use on an "as required" basis (as all shims were); it was only used when the gaps between the rear filler panel and the mating surface of the quarter panels were too wide, and tightening the bolt might fracture the attaching flange on either part without filling the gap with a shim first.

      John,
      Thank you for your response.

Need information about a source for this shim. I have not seen it in any of the catalogs.

      Regards,
      Gene
