    What is this?

    I took this off somewhere on my 62 front suspension.

    It is not the front wheel bearing seal.

    I think it goes between the wheel bearing seal and the brake backing plate but one side is perfectly rust free with a coating of grease which I would think it would be at least dirty.

    Is there a picture in the service manuals?

    Help!

      I believe that the part you have pictured is the front hub oil/grease deflector. It was GM #3687629. The ID should be 1.5" and the OD should be 3.45".

              Chris... You are in luck! I just pulled mine off my 62. It is placed on the spindle between the back plate and the inner bearing race.
