2 questions for the gurus. my convert top is in great shape except for the window. does anyone make a window replacement kit?
next on my tilt/tele column i am told there is a plastic insulator that goes over the locking plate that keeps the tele spring from touching the lock plate and just contacting the brass pole pieces. i cant find it in any of the blown up drawings.
thanks, dick

There is no kit to replace a window in a convertible top. You have to have or remove the top fabric from the frame and have a new window sewn in or buy a window "sheet" from a upholstery shop and sew it in yourself. The glass/plastic must have the DOT stamp for inspection purpose. By the time you do all that you might as well replace the top with a new one because you are doing that much work anyway. Also buy a good window cleaner/preservitive from an upholstery shop or a shop that does marine/boat tops and glass/plastic windows. Mike D #1787
You can have a window sewen in, but the cost is comparable with installing a new top. Most would just opt for a new top. There is a plastic insulator for the spring, available at most Corvette parts outlets.
