    When it vapor locks, have you removed the air cleaner and looked down the primary barrels? Opening the accelerator should pump a squirt of gas. Does it?

    If so, you aren't vapor locked and you have another problem.

    If not, then you need to see why the gas is gone. Since the 327/350 hp had a Holley originally, I'll assume you have a Holley. Check the float level. Check that the bowl gasket or the bowl bolts aren't leaking.

    If you have a fuel pressure gauge, check to see you have the proper pressure. I had a car years ago that kept vapor locking and it turned out the fuel pump didn't deliver sufficient pressure. However, in its case, the car would run on the highway, come to the top of an off-ramp, idle down, and stall. Your case is shutting off and restarting later. However, if the gas boils off, a good pump should refill the bowl and you should be able to restart after a bit of cranking the engine.

    does have orginal holly 2818 carb.had it rebuilt by a pro.sometime it
    will squirt gas sometime not.but i belive you have solved problem because,
    it has cranked and run for a 1/4 mile and die,sounds like weak pump.
    had been told this pump was good.i will change it.
