Door access - electrical

I am in the process of asssesing what options were originally on my 56. There is an access hole in each door that is not a true square or rectangle. As far as we can determine the car never had power windows. My question is, did all 56 cars have an access hole cut in each door, if the car was not equipped with power windows? There appears to be no wear on the edges of the access hole, indicating the car never had power windows. Thanks for all assistance.

I found the same thing on my '59-er which currently doesn't have a power window setup. I don't know about the history of having them in the past.

Many C1's doors may have the power window cut out weather it did or not come with power windows.
