I am hoping for some input on these items before I wrap up my door projects:
). Should any type of lubricant be used on the tracks for the windows in the doors? I am referring to the front whisker lined track and the rear fabric lined track. Silicon spray maybe? Was anything used originally? I used white lithium lube on the roller tracks.
). On my car, both drivers and passengers side, the upper rear window stops/bumpers inside the door do not line up too well with the metal of the door frame itself. By placing some homemade spacers on the bolts that hold on the rear upper stops, I have been able to make the rubber bumpers contact more completely. Have others experienced this? Without the spacers the rubber stop would just barely contact the metal lip of the frame.
). Regarding the rubber stop located on the very top of the vent window assm at the top of the window track: Is this piece supposed to be under heavy contact when the window is in the up position (and deflected upwards), or are the window stops located inside the door supposed to stop the upward motion prior to heavy contact?
). Are the key lock cylinders supposed to lock the door by turning the key clockwise or counterclockwise? Are they the same with each door, or are they supposed to be symmetrically opposite?
