C1 Wiper Motor

My wiper motor is 5047988. Is this correct for any Corvette year? ... Al '58 245hp

FYI: Tom Maxwell (301) 948-9481 tells me that the 5047988 was used on 57 Chevy passenger cars, and that the correct 5044266 were becoming very hard to find. ...Al '58 245hp

Tom and I also discussed wiper motor cover plates- the 5044266repro currently available (e.g., CC 651144) is HEAVILY chrome plated, and he says his plater has trouble removing the plating to refinish as original. I had purchased one recently, but returned it immediately when I saw it - it might be popular at a chrome-machine hot rod show, but then that market doesn't care about numbers! A curious choice by the repro maker. I think there is a market for "real" looking plates

Call Dr. Rebuild for plate. I bought one a couple of years ago from them and it was OK.
