    Carry a knife. I had a friend get rear-ended in his 65, the tank burst, fire started, he got out when the belt melted, he didn't make it.

                Sounds like a scene from the movie "Christine"! You must have made her jealous! Stop looking at the new C6 and ya won't have that problem!

                    Lyle, Could you do an instant reply for us in Windsor? Should cut down on the bar bill. Would you have failed the PV with such a malfunction? Marvin where are you?

                        Lyle, the same thing happened to me in my 1972. (My story about it was in Summer 2002 RESTORER.) You were luckier than I because I was not at home and there was no family in town. I am sure this was a malfunction the engineers never invisioned when belts were mounted under the seat.
