I find your information VERY interesting. How much additonal savings when an aluminum intake is used versus cast iron manifold. I'm refering to L89/LS6 versus LS5. Thanks, Warren

I don't know what a big block cast iron manifold weighs. However, a small block cast iron manifold weighs about 35-40 pounds depending upon model. So, I'd expect that a big block cast iron would be about 55-60 pounds.

A GM aluminum big block manifold weighs about 17-20 pounds, depending upon model. So, for a big block, I'd say that the weight savings from cast iron to aluminum manifolds is about 35 to 40 pounds. That's not a precise range, but I'll bet it's real close.
