Not too many moons ago, either Joe or Duke offered a list of SB/BB engine combo's, with or w/o al heads and ci/al blocks. For us (me) bozo's on the board, would you please repeat that list w/weights? Thanks very much. Dennis

Re: Weights revisited... What is included?
Tom------
I believe that these numbers reflect the weight of the complete engine, less peripherals such as alternator, starter, pullies, carburetor, etc.
I'm sure they include intake manifold, but I don't know if they include an aluminum intake with the "aluminum head" engine specs. I expect that they do, though, since you would never really see an aluminum head engine with cast iron intake.
I do not know if they include exhaust manifolds, or not. However, the main purpose of these weights is to show the RELATIVE difference in weights bewteen the various block/head materials. Whether exhaust manifolds are included, or not, I'm sure that the weights are based on all the combinations either having them installed or not having them installed. So, either way, the RELATIVE weights remain the same.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
