I had my car judged at a NCRS regional meet and lost points for an incorrect lighter element. The judging manual doesn't explain it very well, and I thought it would be ok because judges would just look and not remove items. Well I lost points because the element and insulator was incorrect. I am looking for the correct element and am not sure of exactly what I need. Please help or guide me in the correct direction.

Re: C1, 59 Cigarette lighter, What is correct?
Bill,
The correct lighter element for your car will have a white ceramic insulator showing under the element when you retract the outer shield of the lighter. There are still some Nos ones available out there, but If you can't find one, let me know, as I keep a small stash of these NOS elements.
