correct valve cover bolts 69-L46

I bought a set of valve cover bolts to replace the incorrect ones I had.They have an m cast in them but the head seems very small.It takes a 3/8 socket. Is this the correct size?Also the way I understand it there is no washers under these bolts?Thanks in advance.

No, the original bolts were 1/4-20 size and used a standard, 7/16" across-the-flats wrench size. There were no washers under the original bolts. However, I recommend the use of them, anyway. Also, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN these bolts.
