    C1 - AC Fuel Filter

What is the difference in an AC GF-124K and AC GF-124 fuel filter? Thanks in advance. Jimmy

A shot in the dark is the 'K' suffix means it's a full filter kit vs. just the filter. Normally, you get a replacement filter and inner/outer rubber gasket. I suspect the 'kit' would package the filter, innner/outer gaskets, and the brass safety screen that virtually nobody knows about and/or replaces....

        Jimmy,

From what I have seen yhe 124 and 124K are the same exact shape and configuration but for some reason the 124K seems to be more "red" in color. The 124 is more of a dark bronze. Either should work but a judge with a keen eye may deduct for the 124K.

Jack - what and where is that brass safety screen? How fine a screen, where does it fit?
I don't have one in either of two (repro) filter bowl sets.
The only illustration in the ST-12 doesn't seem to show anything. What the ST-12 DOES show is a small washer-shaped seal going into the top casting first - and before finding this diagram I thought that part was a cushion for the bottom tightener! Oops.
