I have a 66 coupe 327/300 HP w factory air conditioning. My car has a 5 blade fan. The way I read the NCRS Judging Manual, I should have a 7 blade fan. Looking in Noland's book, he states in the C60 part of the 66 Section that all had 5 blades. Does anyone know what is really correct?
I am pretty sure that mine came from the factory with the 5 blade fan.
Rodney - I'm pretty sure it did also. If it's 5 blades and 18" dia it should be the 'correct" fan blade assembly. There were two 5 blade, 18" dia fan blade assemblies used (see the '66 Corvette AIM) on sb '66 C60 Corvettes. Sounds like your Judging Manual is one of the older ones which were in err regarding sb fan blade assemblies for C60 Corvettes. This section has been revised in the latest version, Spring 2004 - Fourth Edition and describes both C60 fan blade assemblies. Also, check the DB Archives as there have been several threads on this subject. Pete
