1954 + 55 6-cyl heads

I have a question concerning the # 3836241 head that was originally installed on the 1954 and 1955 6-cylinder corvettes. Was it installed on any other GM cars at any time? If so, what model cars were they on?

Not that I know but have seen 53-54 Corvette engines in boats of the 50's.

The GM #3836241 cylinder head was used for 1954-55 Corvettes ONLY. It was not used for other applications.

Was that head (241) ever a service item over the counter? I know that it had a crack problem, and I still see them at the swap meet's forsale. Thanks john

Yes, it was once available under GM PART #3836265.
