Hello everybody!
My question is about stripping paint. I have talked to Halon Marking regarding there paint strip and they can not tell me if the materail will remove the primer. My car has the original paint job. Any suggestions?
Thanks for all your input
David
David: I have had good results using a paint stripper such as captain Lee's or Kleen Strip Fiberglass paint strippers. They remove the color coats of paint down to the primer. I then use a scotchbrite pad and laquer thinner to remove the primer which works very well. I flush well with clean water after each step and blow dry. The results are a silky smooth finish.

Tim: I get it at an auto parts supply that also handles auto body repair supplies. You could probably also get it at a place that sells boating supplies since most of the newer boats are made of fiberglass. Len
