I have looked through the Judge's Reference Manual and the archives and am still confused about how to repaint the 66/67 grills. I understand that the inside mouth should be painted argent silver and that there should be no paint on the ~1/2" wide leading edge around the perimeter of the egg crate. It would seem like this topic has been thoroughly discussed but:
Do you only paint the egg crate or is the entire grill, including the top side as visible when looking down between the nose and the leading edge of the hood, the radiator side, and the sides that are not visible facing the parking light panels and chin panel, also painted?
Are the narrow, forward, vertical and horizontal edges of the egg crate chrome? If so, might a good approach be to cut a long, narrow piece of cardboard to cover the front side of the egg crate and to paint the mouth of the grill from the radiator side?
