Bubba "fixed" my leaf springs on my 1960. Some of the leaves in each set is original, ie. has the groove, while the other pieces are flat spring stock. Each set though has five leaves. The only markings I have been able to find on the bottom spring are " 28 E O ".
The standard spring set for a 1960 was four leaves, but it seems that every picture I've seen of a 1960 leaf spring shows five leaves, even though five leaf springs were not available in 1960. See page 82 of the 58 - 60 TIM & JG. When you count the leaves do you count the main spring as one and then should have three more pieces ( or four more if a five leafer)? Or am I making something simple more difficult than it is! How rare are replacement leaves with the groove.
Thanks in advance for showing the light!
