Does anyone know of a good source for the vacuum switch that mounts on the air distribution box of a factory a/c C2 (1964 in my case)? This is the switch that supplies vacuum to the heater control valve. A vacuum line runs from the intake manifold to the switch and another vacuum line goes from the switch to the heater control valve.
I recently discovered that a prior owner removed the switch and spliced the vacuum two lines together. As a result, vacuum was continuously supplied to the heater control valve which allowed a continuous supply of hot water to the heater core regardless of the temperature knob position. Helped explain why I had always had warm air in the vents.
Thanks!
