Hello,
First off I would like to introduce myself. I do not have a Corvette, I restore Chevy trucks. You may be asking "whats this truck guy doing here?" well, this is why. My current project is a 1951 Chevrolet pickup. When I purchased this truck it came with a 235 inline six cylinder engine, casting # 3835911. I believe this to be a 1954 Corvette engine and head (# 8825913). I am thinking that this engine would be better off in a Corvette then in my truck. It did run, but this engine is in need of a complete rebuild, and as I am not familiar with Corvettes, I am not sure the oil pan is original. There are no manifolds, it had manifolds for my truck on it. I have come to your forum to see if you all think this engine would be worth somthing to a Corvette restorer. Please note, I am not currently selling this engine, just looking for info. I would rather see it in a nice Corvette then my truck. Thanks.
