I was given a transmission for some work performed. I was told it was out of a Corvette , but the preson did not know what year or anything about the car. I do not think it is out of a Corvette. I find no serial # stamped in it. The only numbers I find are as follows 3925661 and 3088336 can some one tell me what it fits? Thanks for the help in advance.
It's a '70-'74 Muncie main case - should have a Muncie "P"-code stamped vertically on the passenger side of the case, on the rib at the rear of the case. The tailhousing and side cover will also have casting numbers.

That's a late '65-'70 tailhousing, but the "P"-code from the main case is missing a character. The character after the zero should be a letter (month code), not a number. At any rate, it looks like a 1970 M-20. Is there a partial VIN stamped vertically on the driver's side rib at the rear of the main case?
