    Bill It is not easy to read how a judge will deduct for powder coat. Some may not care or know others will take off for every part.If it is not easy to tell it can slip by as it only needs to appear as original. Do your car the way you want and if not like it came from the factory just say (yes judge) I did it and take the hit. Lyle

            I think the key here is what your ultimate goal is for the car. If you are fixing a nice driver, go for the powdercoat. If you are going for a Duntov Award, then you need to look at the variations between powdercoat and paint. One can powdercoat the frame for protection, then apply the varing paint finishes over it. The options are endless
