    Flywheel Numbers

A friend is looking to see if this wheel is for a 454 or a 400 engine. The numbers he gave me are, 3873457N and a code of J19.

    Thanks in advance. Bob

    Bob------

I can't find any reference to a GM casting #3873457N flywheel. However, GM casting #3993457N is a Mark IV 454 14" nodular iron flywheel. I suspect that he may be reading the casting numbers incorrectly. That's very easy to do with casting numbers, especially those on flywheels.
