    Drivetrain noise

    Looking for some help...
A new noise sounding like a radio .vs. spark plug whine directly related to RPM with no radio on and only on gradual or sharp left turns. depressing the clutch makes no difference. I'm thinking transmission (a munci 4 spd in a 61) or possibly a fan blade rubbing or something. Any thoughts??? Thanks!!!

No, just the two arms (and getting stronger with every turn )

        Jim:

I was thinking either steering pump, or front tire rub. I suppose it could be fan blade, but that doesn't make sense because only happens left turns.

Might be worth checking the fan blade and/or shrouding. I had a 17 1/2" dia fan in a 62 that really wanted a 17" fan. That 1/4" would contact the shroud some of the time, like during turns.

And sometimes if that is the problem...

a very light Bubba move on the shroud will help...

I found it... turned out to be the generator fan rubbing on the fresh air hose. I'll take that over some of the thoughts I was having!!! Thanks for the help, and thanks for going easy on yet another rather dumb question!!!
