    save or replace original bolts?

Hello - I am restoring a 71 LT1 and would like to know if you should save the original bolts or replace them with new ones? I have not been able to find anyone other than paragon that has original bolts. Is there anyone that sells original bolts either new or used? As always,

    Thanks Dave

Dave - Save the original bolts and use them in their original spot unless you have reason to believe their integrity has been compromised by rust, etc. Keep track of what came from where and how it was installed. "Bag & Tag". If you don't use some of the fasteners, save them anyway. Somehow, most reproduction items are pretty good, but original is King...

Dave - I agree with Dennis. Suggest ou photo/video all bolts, hardware, etc. prior to removing it and take comprehensive notes with sketches, torque (to remove recordings), dimensions, etc. so you know what came from where. Remember, many bolts may have the same head markings but will be different sizes, lengths and torques. Washers are easier to record and may be traced in your hardware notebook. Good luck in you restoration.
