    68 Radio Connection

    The connector for the radio is grey, black and yellow.

    Black is ground, is the grey the hot lead?

    What's the yellow one?

    Thanks for any advise,

    Rich

    If you're talking about the power lead connector to the radio, your copy of the '69 Chasis Service Manual or the Assembly Instruction Manual will let you trace back the harness wiring runs. You'll find one is ground, one is power and the other is dashboard light (as controlled by the dimmer pot on the headlight switch). I can't tell you from memory which is which, but with the above input, you can figure it out.

      Rich,

      Looking at the wiring diagram in my 66 - 82 Shop Manual.

      Black = grnd
      Yellow = radio power
      Grey = common power for dash lights

        Thanks guys, I have all the diagrams and books, but sadly, I'm no electrician and just wanted to verify as I've redone the electrical system and didn't want to cook anything.

        Appreciate the help.
