I have a pair of red 1967 NOS seat belts (in the orginal GM boxes) that I purchased many years ago for a 67 convertible which I recently sold. I am now thinking about selling these belts. Would someone give me an idea of what the current market value range is for this item? Thanks

Re: C2 NOS Seat Belts
I just paid $345 on ebay for a set of refurbished black of lap belts for a 67 in mint condition. However with no date code tags.
What color is the bowtie on the buckle? There was a thread in the archives in 1999, on this subject. Some say that the bowtie was black, some say it was blue. The thread never came to a definitive conclusion.
Also, what's the number on the back of the buckle, and is it the same on each buckle? Do the belts have date tags?
You might have a little goldmine just in the new buckles, retractors and hardware?

actually, I do not know if these are from a Corvette. They came as extras when I purchased an Oil pan.

Re: C2 NOS Seat Belts
Brian,
Thanks for the photos. They look like my originals (blue) for a 67 Corvette (conv) except mine are in a lot worse shape. All rusted inside. The date code on the belts on mine is 7E67(I guess 7th week in 1967).
What are the stamped numbers below the box on the back of the buckle and are they the same for each buckle. Mine are 0378 and match. Somebody spent I lot of time stamping these numbers on the back, and I would like to figure out what they are for, and what they mean.

Re: C2 NOS Seat Belts
Brian,
Just noticed something in the photo. One is dated 1967, and the other dated 1966. The 33E66 is probably for a 67. However, I'm still interested in the numbers on the back of the buckle for each. I'm doing a trivia research study.
You know with the group that we have on this forum, someone ought to come up with a C2 Trivial Pursuits Game and market it for NCRS. Perhaps somebody already has.

Re: C2 NOS Seat Belts
It's my understanding that the 33E66 would be the 33week, E=Friday, of 1966.
You find other GM cars with A, B, C,and D for Monday, Tuesday, Wed. and Thurs. but most Corvette belts are Friday. They could probably make enough seat belts working one day a week to keep up with production.
