You're not nuts Roy. I've used water for years. In the early to mid 70s when i was a wrench at a F_rd store they had a problem with the straight six engines building carbon. I can't tell you how many warranty valve jobs i got paid for by pouring a couple large cups of water down the carb. It works like a champ.

Rob thanks I was beginning to think I was the only guy that knows this and every buddy thinks I'm nuts.There are so many people on the board that talk book talk and by pass us old farts as nuts.
