    67' master cylinder cap.

The cap we have reads "SERVICE WITH DELCO PARTS" on one dome
and the other dome reads "USE DELCO SAE J1703 BRAKE FLUID".

Is this correct for our 67'?

    August------

I don't think so. I believe that the original cap would have been stamped on one side with "SERVICE WITH DELCO PARTS" and on the other dome "USE DELCO BRAKE FLUID".

If the cap you have has a pressure equalizing "tunnel" between the 2 domes, that's automatically an incorrect cap without even needing to reference the script stamped into the domes. This style cap didn't come along until after 1972.

      Re: 67' master cylinder cap.

There are three different sets of emboss text for these early MC covers without the tunnel between the domes. The '67-68 version is virtually impossible to find and when you do, be prepared to bend over on price!!!! NOBODY make a reproduction of it. The exact text of the emboss is defined in your copy of the Judging Guide....

Joe's got it - no "SAE J1703" reference on the original cap, and no equalizing tunnel.

          Joe,

          You are correct.
