1981 Paint Code

What is paint code 19L for 1981? I see that 19 is black, but what does the "L" mean? Car is two-tone, black with a lower gold or bronze color. Is this factory? THANKS.

I believe that the "L" suffix refers to lacquer paint. For 1981, lacquer paint was used by St. Louis assembly.

This car was originally black. Someone added the lower gold or bronze color. For one thing, this combination was never offered for 1981. For another thing, if it had been, there would have been a "dual" paint code.
