    C2: Carb adjustments

I dialed-in my '66 L36 carb this weekend, adjusted timing, etc. Seems to run better than before, but...

I love rapping up the engine to about 5k rpm and letting off as I roll down the hill near our house just to hear the N11 pipes sing. But now with the carb adjustments made today, I'm getting a popping sound that I suspect is fuel burning in the pipes. Thinking I should lean her out a bit to solve the problem. Sound right?

Actually, it's probably a little lean - a few misfires in the cylinder due to too lean a condition exhausts the unburned fuel air mixture, and then it's ignited by the hot exhaust valve resulting in afterfire i.e. exhaust popping on overun.
