My corvette was built may of 59 and has a small 022 brake master cylinder in it, which I have lost points for. I purchased a large 022 cylinder and the front plug is not completely round it is flat around the edges and round in the center. My small 022 plug is completely round, are there any judged differences or date markings and could the whole cylinder be painted black and pass judging? Thanks to any and all responses.

Re: 59 LARGE "022"
Bill,
If I remember correctly my 59, VIN #1606 had a "small" 022 master cylinder. It was built on Dec. 1, 1958. If your car is an early build you may want to double check prior to changing it.- Top

Re: 59 LARGE "022" May 59 car?
I don"t agree with the judges, but twice I have had it judged and they were sure I should have a large 022 on a car built may 8 of 59.- Top

Re: 59 LARGE "022" May 59 car?
Bill,
Just because a judge or 2 thinks its wrong doesn't mean it is for sure. Maybe an email to the 58-60 team leader or some other 58-60 afficinado might offer another expert opinion. If you post the question on this board you may get a few opinions.- Top
