I have a question for the mid-year experts.Did the 1966 convertible ever come with a manual antenna?I understand that the power antenna came standard with the AM-FM radio but what about AM only cars? Also if the 1966 came with a manual antenna whats the difference between the 1966 and a 1967 manual antennas? Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: 1966 Radio antenna
There were no radio 'options' for Corvette in '66. You got AM/FM mono only or no radio. If you ordered the radio, the power antenna was part of the setup. It was in Chevy passenger cars where you had choices on the type of radio and antenna, but not in Corvette.- Top

Re: 1966 Radio antenna
Stan,
In addition to the above, the 66 was power only and the 67-68 was a fixed length antenna. This fixed length antenna was great for FM as it matched the wavelength needed for FM reception but left a lot to be desired in weak areas where you wanted AM reception. Guess GM thought AM was on the way out and FM was going to take it place. Well, here it is 40 years later and AM stations are still on the air.
